My Winter Must Haves

I don't know about you all but I am officially over winter.  But since it is still only February I figured I would share my winter must haves

I am obsessed with self tanner.  I love the spray because you get a light coverage and it dries really fast.  I use this 2-3 times a week and it gives me the perfect glow.  Be sure to dry brush and exfoliate before you use it

The magic elixir, I use this on my lips every night along with my feet, cuticles, elbows and everything else that hates the cold.   

I LOVE this stuff.  I have bottles and bottles of half used lotion because I was looking for this perfect combination.  I have insanely dry skin and this has been amazing for me.

Infinity scarfs... I have been rocking this at least 4 times a week.  I think they are the perfect accessory

Tunics, leggins and boots.  I can not get over how much I love this look and how comfortable it is for working at a desk

Found at Bath and Body Works...  again a miracle elixir and it tastes and smells amazing.   I love using it on my super dry nose and cuticles


Any new tools I should know about.  Let a dry skin sister know!

A lovers weekend

Since Nick moved two hours away and we only see each other on weekends we try and make our weekends really special.  For Valentines we went to DC!!  We have gone there 3 or 4 valentines weekends and it never gets old.

Sipping some amazing HO CHO in front of the capitol.  Don't let my hatless/gloveless self fool you into thinking it was a gorgeous day...  omg it was freezing!

In a presentation I was helping with the kids had to draw "Me flags" and I found a don't tread on me from a Kindergartner hahaha!!

I did 100 deadlifts...  I could barely walk the next day but I felt pretty legit

I found these on my doorstep!!  A friend from church dropped them off because I was plagued with a never ending cold

I was speechless when I found these... words can not describe how appalled I am that people wore crap like that in the 70s never the less I still consider them awesome

Why wouldn't you wear a cape to the mall??   What are the rest of us thinking.   Bravo man  BRAVO

I found this when I came back from NY, he left them hidden all over so I have been finding them all month!

If the flags weren't enough, you can always find Confederate soldiers piling on the fried rice

My cat was really confused about snow flakes... she had a major freak out session

So this does not look like a big deal right?... wouldnt you know I got stuck twice and had to leave my car over night and be picked up in a jeep because of this craziness!!!  When will mother nature realize that the south can not handle snow... it's gotta stop

"Pretty faces on parade..."

Masquerade... This is our third year going to and I honestly count down the days...  It includes delish hor' dourves dancing and casino night.   We spent most of the night playing black jack and loving every minute of the experience.

Funny story... so I am a VERY picky eater and I will not eat something that freaks me out.. so usually the  hor' dourves are Margarita mashed potatoes, some oriental food and more amazingness  but this year it consisted of pate and olives (heck no), risotto balls (excuse me?) and fried pork belly (is this some kind of hot dog??)  so I start to freak out... because I have only had half a waffle all day and I want my dang mashed potatoes in a martini glass!!.  So I get all hangry  and poor Nick is trying everything to get me to eat because he knows I will just get worse.  He starts to bribe me to try a risotto ball... he says $1, then $5, then $20... (this takes about 10 minutes)  there was no way I was trying it... then he says "I will buy you a puppy... I'm serious"...   I look at him and make sure he is serious, and then I say " go grab me a ball"  and they were sooooo good!   So guess what!   I have a new food and I am getting a puppy!!!  I did tell him that I want a rain check on my puppy and that it is going to be a small dog that doesn't shed and he happily agreed.

Friday Five

1) Essie ballet slippers. Perfect not trying too hard kind of pale pink, it does take 3 good coats to get it looking pretty but it's worth it.

2) Loving this dry brush idea. You dry brush your entire body from your toes up, it helps to drain your lymphatic system which helps with cellulite and it gives you amazing looking skin.

3) Flatbread pesto chicken pizza. I can not get enough, it is amazing what real ingredients can do for flavor, hello fresh mozzarella....

4) Kleenex cool touch. These tissues are crazy and in my opinion worth every penny!!!! I am on my third cold of the season and these are so soothing.

5) Smart water.... Need I say more?
