Nicks cousin and his wife surprised us with UNC basketball tickets for Nick's birthday/christmas present. So last Saturday we packed up and headed south.

Awkward and Awesome

Awkward:

1. not blogging for oh say... 5 weeks  :(  Je suis desole (I am sorry)
2. Being a Mormon and having such a rough day that the thought of drinking almost sounded appealing (don't worry mom I didn't)
3. walking into my room and finding my cat puked 3 times on my white carpet,  three very large times
4. Nick still has no heat at his house (long story) so he has to take showers at my house... so I have men's body wash and his towels in my bathroom...
5. Being sick for the second time this in 3 weeks...
6. Having your boyfriend refer to you as the cat in the hat every time you where striped leggings for pj's
7. Writing thank you notes for gifts given to you last month... I feel kind of lame but I have been a tad busy
8. Almost crashing your old car into your new car an hour after purchasing it
9. Stalling out at a green light... oh the joys of a stick shift... good thing my car is adorable and I had good hair that day otherwise I probably would have been judged/flicked off
10. Screaming when the lights turned off at work... we had just been talking about the place being haunted and bam! the lights when out -  I did do the murder scream, completely unintended
11. Running a 15k on a Saturday and going through Spinning certification on a Sunday... less awkward more ridiculously exhausting
12. Eating pizza right before bed and having the weirdest dreams... am I a 6 year old? what the heck?

3. My mom is moving into her new house today!!  woop woop!  I am so pumped to see it!

6. Trying on my dream engagement ring and finding the price completely doable ... well I think it's doable
7. My friend Kari is going on a mission next month!!!!    props to her for being willing to give up a year and a half to serve for our church

9. it is December 15th and it is 64 degrees... oh the south... sometimes I really do appreciate you
10. Going to a UNC game and getting to meet Roy Williams and stalking some players...  I did not get to see Barnes :(  I may have a slight crush... it could be because his arms are delicious
11. Christmas bonus... lets just say Katie is buying her self some huge pearl earrings I have been lusting or a coach purse...
12. Nick is going to visit me in NY for New Years!!  woop woop!!!
13. Christmas shopping is almost completed- thank you Amazon and Groupon  you made my life so simple

Well that is it for me today!   My life has calmed down quite a bit so I will try and post some pictures and stories of the last 5 weeks.

Awesome and Awkward

Awesome:

1. Finding a rocking car deal!
2. Getting an iphone 4s... I LOVEEEEE  simply can not express my love enough for this cute little bundle of joy
3. Getting some great news about Body Attack, most likely I will be the program director for SVU next semester which means... I get to go through BodyFlow training for FREE woop woop!  And I am working on getting a training for students interested in becoming instructors!  
4. Getting a cheesecake factory gift card and a whole box of omaha steaks for my birthday... people know me so well :)
5. Nick walking around with me for 12 hours trying to find the "perfect' pair of boots.  I have a keeper I know :)
6. Eating Oreo cheesecake for lunch cause its my bday weekend

Awkward:

1. Nick's house not having heat for a week, so we go over for him to grab shower stuff to take to my house.  I am wearing fUggs, pink pajama pants, a navy blue peacoat with a big furry hood, a pink floppy hat that my wet shower hair was swallowed in and black gloves... I lay down to play with Gia (Nicks foster cat) and the next thing I know Nick is shaking me telling me its 3 in the morning!!!  we both had conked out in a 30 degree house dressed like hobo's   with me cuddled up next to a cat and two random smelling candles we were using for light  hahahahaha!  I laughed so hard when i finally became conscious 
2. Having the rockin car deal tell me that someone else made him an effing offer and i would need to wait until Saturday to see if they bought it... uhm no... that is not how this works... if there is no deposit the car should be free game.. So everyone pray that these other people decide they don't want the best car deal in the entire world... deal?? (This isn't very awkward more just makes me pissed beyond belief)
3. having a realator take pictures of your house... so basically any random person will know exactly what electronics I  have in my house and which room i sleep in AWESOME... NoT!   gahhh I will be so happy the day I do not have to rent 
4. Nick confessing that he has blamed more than one fart on the cat I have actually believed him...  oh my life   (I apologize for always talking about farting but it really does make me awkward when it happens and with Nick it usually happens once a week haha)

Alexandria for the celebration

So I hit the big 2-3 this weekend, to celebrate a very unimportant birthday number Nick took me to DC for the weekend.  We soon both fell madly in love with Alexandria Virginia.

On Saturday morning we both woke up a little late so we headed out for some brunch and found free parking in front of this adorable little place

Nick got the crab, lobster, and craw-fish omelet.  He said it was "Delicious", I can not judge, there is no way I would eat anything stuffed with that craziness.

Awesome and Awkwards

Awkward:

1. Talking about stomach and bladder problems with Mr Man.  And by talking I mean him telling me his problems as I am eating my fish tacos and trying not to literally gag everything I have consumed
2. leather couches and the farting noises they make when you move
3. Nick telling me his "tummy hurts"  really?? REALLY!? 
4. Me actually taking pity on the above statement said by a grown man curled up on the couch with a zebra print pillow... and washing the dishes for him
5. People thinking my Flo costume was a nurse
6. Being the only girl at a Halloween party wearing clothes and not lingerie
7.  On our ride home from the Halloween Party, Nick hit a cat (didnt die) and so we pulled off into a construction site to see if we could find the poor thing to make sure it was ok.  Next we see some blue lights turn in and the officer and Nick have a little tiff.  Meanwhile I am dressed like Flo and Nick is Mayhem... how ironic..   Well after the cop looked up all of Nicks info he gives him his license and says that he probably isn't doing to much vandalism dressed in a suit.  Apparently this cop doesn't watch enough Allstate commercials.

Awesome

1. Trying on this whopper of a ring at work.  My boss was wearing it for her desperate housewife costume....Too bad this little beauty isn't costume jewelry It was given to her as a "friendship ring"  boy what I would give to have a friend like that   shooot.   And you know it I went and showed this little number to Nick so he could see what home girl expects on the day the question is popped :)

1. I won the costume contest and won a free day off !
2. My birthday is in 2 days!!!!!!!!   Say hello trip to DC   I am so excited!!!!  And I am crossing my fingers I get the Banana Republic riding boots I have been lusting for months....MONTHS
3. looking at more cars this weekend.... Oh I hope I finally find the right combination of things so I can finally drive around in something from the 21st century.
4. Finally getting paid to teach Body Attack!  can I get an AMEN   No more volunteering for me
5. I lost 2 pounds!  Yes that sounds really stupid but it has been hard to get those puppies off.  My goal is another 5 but I am satisfied where I am.  Heaven knows I will be stuffing my face full of cheesecake this weekend.... and crepes... and pizza... and pasta.  sad :(
6. I signed up for the Hot Chocolate 15k in DC!!!!!!!   I am petrified and excited all at the same time.   Here is to running 8 and a half miles on thanksgiving... and 9 miles the Saturday after thanksgiving to keep to my 4 week training program hahaha
7. I get to see my cute little nieces and nephews next month!!!!  woop woop  and nick will finally get to meet cutie pie Ethan!  I have been telling Nick all about my love for that little boy

We got invited to a halloween party on Saturday night. So the creative juices started flowing and we became flo and mayhem.


At work this morning we had a Halloween brunch with a costume contest. Me and the popcorn tied for first! We both won a day off in December for Christmas shopping. Have I mentioned I LOVE where I work?

Awesome and Awkward

Awkward:

1. Waking up with enough time to get ready, then resetting my alarm so I have 10 minutes.  Throw on clothes grab makeup box and walk out the door with serious bed head  ( big messy bun lop sided and frizzy).  Sit at desk apply makeup and go to the bathroom to add water to the unruly mess of curls)....  3 days in a row
2. Gurgley stomach... I feel really awkward when I am sitting next to someone and it sounds like Bombs are going off in my stomach... and you know the person next to you is like "dont you dare fart while I am next to you... I know what gurgley stomach means.  Well no buddy not pour moi.  I just have a stomach that likes to make its presence known both in sound and in site.
3. Nick getting up and handing me his computer... ten a huge blast of butt funk (aka a fart) hits my nose.  We have company over so I cant call him out/I cant breathe enough to get words out.  He hits the stairs and sees my suffocating face and we both just die in laughter... then the guests smell it HAHAHAHA
4. having my shirt get stuck on my bike seat at spin class... so I attempt to walk past my bike  and the bottom of my shirt gets caught on my seat jerking me back like a foot.  making me look like a toddler learning how to walk for the first time... I impress myself with how graceful I am
5. waking yourself up with a random snore
6. getting offended when your cat prefers to cuddle with your boyfriend and not you

Awesome

1. My spin class is up to 16 students, there are only 18 bikes   woop wooooooop
2. my iPhone should be here today!!
3. my mom bought a new house!!!!  hooray for finally having my own room when i go home for a visit
4. Buying new desk organizing stuff and pink pens ... it has made me much more cheerful at work to have all 8 lip balms in a container instead of rolling around my drawer like animals
5. Changing my closet into my fall wardrobe...  no judge but I have around 50 cardigans...  Small addiction
6. Test driving new cars!!!!!  ahhhh  In just a few short weeks I will not be driving a car from the mid 90s  can i get an AMEN!?
7. Apple cider doughnuts... pictures will come shortly   but lets just say I inhaled almost half a dozen
8. Sushi night with one of my favorite families!  soon to be expanding with a little munchkin in 4 weeks!

Every season Nick and I make a bucket list of things we want to do.  For fall it usually includes haunted houses, doughnuts, and watching Hocus Pocus.  This year we really wanted to see  a college football game but we weren't really sure how we could with most of our weekends being completely full.  On Friday I was leaving work and Nick calls me.  His dad's co-worker bought 4 UNC tickets but weren't able to go, so she gave him all 4 tickets plus a parking pass.  So Nick and I rushed around to get packed and headed down to North Carolina.  We had to leave his parents house by 8am to get to the game in time. We all piled in the car in Carolina blue T shirts and headed South.

So my first experience at a huge university football game was pretty fun.  I will say I was a little judgy of the girls wearing tiny dresses and heels to go sit on metal bleachers for 3 hours.  Nick even pulled a preppy McPrepperson and wore a button down and a cardigan.   maybe I was a tad envious cause I was looking a little rough but I just figured the reason you buy over priced sports T shirts was to wear them to games so you don't spill ketchup or have beer spilled on important clothes.   Mental note, dress cute for football games, My Bad

Awkward:

1. Using the restroom and then going up stairs to change, a few seconds later hearing Nick go "wwwhhhewwww, someone stunk it up in here"   yeahhhh  
2. Sitting on chocolate and having no one tell you...  So you walk around strutting your stuff in heel and Joe's Jeans  go to bathroom to check yourself out and LOVELY... choco cracko
3. Waiting 6 and half weeks to trim your pedicure because the white tips are just too beautiful to trim down
4. Getting a call from your "mom" and having your phone tell you that you missed the call, start having a conversation with Nick, give him a smoochero and hear your step dads voice come over the phone saying "uhm hello?  I'm still on the phone" bahaha
5. Girls that I was a camp counselor for are getting married before me...  I cry a little on the inside just thinking about it.  I told Nick for every year I wait the carat in my diamond goes up...  he better get his A to a jeweler cause I hear 4 carats is pretty pricey :) 

Awesome:

1. Getting a free pizza from Dominoes because they put ham on the whole pizza instead of half cheese... SO I will be eating pizza for the next 5 days
2. iphone!!!!  crossing my fingers I can get my hands on that puppy tomorrow.  I am doubting it but i am still hoping.
3. Texting the girl I may be buying a car from about doing a test drive and she said that she will drive the hour to me!  woop woop!  so happy to not have to drive a gazillion miles this weekend and I am hoping she will come down a little on her price and Katie will have a new car in time for her birthday!
4. Mitt Romney during the republican debates, he spanked everyone.  I have never been more proud of a fellow Mo MO than I was of him. And no played the religion card can i get an Amen?
5. The leaves are-a-changin here in Virginia, my drive to work is gorgeous!  I can wait to get some pictures this weekend on the parkway.  I am planning a Sunday picnic to break in our new picnic basket we bought.

Myrtle Beach... delayed :)

We started going to Myrtle Beach the first summer Nick and I started dating so this was our fifth trip.   The trip usually includes me and nick, his parents, his brother and sister-in-law, and is sister her husband and 4 kids.   We all share a condo and soak up the sun.

It is probably one of my favorite places to go and I look forward to it all year.  We especially looked forward to it this year since we had this little accident last year.

We were both in a wedding party the day before we were to leave for the beach.  For the groomsman picture all the boys were suppose to "pretend" push each other down the stairs... well as you can see things did not go well.  Nick was on the ground with a dislocated ankle in the middle of DC... let the good times roll
